Do you need to change the pre-drilled alignment holes changed from a horizontal position to a vertical position?
This extension plate will give you the ability to change the positioning of the pre-drilled alignment holes for a device holder to attach onto.
NOTICE: Pre-drilled marker holes are placed at a convenient location. A phone holder, though, can be attached anywhere on the extension plate that will work to better position your device. Simply screw the steel screws into the extension plate in any location without using the pre-drilled holes. It is really quite easy to do.
Here is some extra detail ... The 13005 extension plate has 4 small holes on one surface and 8 counter sunk holes on the other surface of the plate. The 4 smaller holes are there to align with the device holder base and the holder base should be able to be attached onto those 4 small holes. Most device holders come with their own screws to use to attach the holder to the mount or in this case attach onto the extension plate.
The 8 larger holes on one surface of the extension plate are for attaching the extension plate onto the vehicle mount. The 8 holes are arranged in a way that the pattern will work regardless of if the extension plate is placed horizontal or vertical on a vehicle mount. The 4 small screws that come with the extension plate can be used to secure the extension plate to the vehicle mount.
