What is the best Ford Escape phone mount?

This A-Tach Ford Escape phone mount solution consists of two separate parts that are brought together to create a secure mounting solution. The first part is the vehicle mount which is designed specifically for the listed Ford Escape models. The mount comes with four small, predrilled holes in an AMPS hole pattern and can be used with many brands of phone holders.

The second part is a phone holder or device holder. A phone holder is not included when purchasing the mount only. See the "Device Holder Options" tab for some great device holder choices.

Innovative mounting solution

I gave this a generous 4 stars because I like that the mount uses the innovative idea of attaching to the back of Sync Display. It allows the phone to be in the peripheral view of my driving and does not require me to look off to the side to see it. Also it is not in the way of any air vents like other mounts that can overheat my phone during the winter. That said there are a couple of flaws. First the right most mounting holes on the bracket mounting plate don't go all the way through the mount. I was afraid to drill them in fear of hindering the sturdiness of the mounting plate to the bracket. Also the cell phone (galaxy s8 with a slipgrip bracket) I mounted uses a ball mount plate and in the default position would obstruct quite a bit of the view of the vehicles display screen. I had to make a few modifications but was only able to use the 2 left most screw holes to mount my phone.

Perfect fit for 2021 Escape

Great solution for mounting a phone in 2021 Escape. Arrived on schedule at a fair price. Securely attaches to center infotainment display tab. Results in a nice location for phone between steering wheel and center display. Although I purchased the optional magnetic mount and it worked fine, I ended up using a stick-on phone mounting magnet, which I had in my collection, applied directly to the base. This placed the phone more on plane with the display, a little further back from the wiper stalk, just a personal preference. I'll add the optional swivel magnet mount to my collection, for future use somewhere, I'm sure.

A great mount!

I've been searching for 2 years to find a way to mounts phones (yes, 2) where they are handy and visible. The left side "mostly works" for my Samsung S22 Ultra with case. The wiper arm doesn't touch but comes very close and forces me to mount more to the right which blocks some of the Sync Screen. I wish there was a phone mount on the right side as well. SO... I've ordered the mounting extension plates to slightly raise the left side and add a second mount to the right.

A-Tach Team note regarding the pre-drilled device holder holes.

There are pre-drilled device holder in our A-Tach mounts, however, the pre-drilled holes are not needed to attach a device holder onto the face plate of the mount. The holes are marker holes to help with aligning the device holder on the face plate of the mount. Metal screws are typically used to attach a device holder to the mount and do not need pre-drilled holes. Metal screws will self tap and thread into the ABS plastic face plate without the pre-drilled holes. We hope this information helps. The A-Tach Team
