Check Phone and Control Clearance

Your phone’s size and the holder you choose affect how much space the completed setup needs. Before attaching the holder, check clearance around the steering wheel and wiper stalk, and make sure your phone will not interfere with touchscreen access.

This is especially helpful when using a larger phone or a thick protective case.

Complete Your Setup with a Phone Holder

Device Holder purchased separately. This product is the dash attachment only and cannot hold a phone without a separate holder.

Choose an adjustable clamp holder, magnetic holder or compatible wireless charging holder. Consider your phone’s dimensions, case thickness and MagSafe, Qi or Qi2 compatibility.

The mount includes four predrilled holes in an AMPS pattern for attaching a compatible holder.

Attach the Vehicle Mount First

Read the installation instructions for #50152 before beginning. Follow the illustrated steps to attach the mount around the display frame and secure the supplied tape.

Test-fit and attach the vehicle mount before screwing on the holder. Confirm a secure fit and suitable phone placement first.

Once screws enter the mount’s holes or the holes are enlarged, the mount is considered used and cannot be returned for a standard refund—even if it was never fully installed.

Innovative mounting solution

I gave this a generous 4 stars because I like that the mount uses the innovative idea of attaching to the back of Sync Display. It allows the phone to be in the peripheral view of my driving and does not require me to look off to the side to see it. Also it is not in the way of any air vents like other mounts that can overheat my phone during the winter. That said there are a couple of flaws. First the right most mounting holes on the bracket mounting plate don't go all the way through the mount. I was afraid to drill them in fear of hindering the sturdiness of the mounting plate to the bracket. Also the cell phone (galaxy s8 with a slipgrip bracket) I mounted uses a ball mount plate and in the default position would obstruct quite a bit of the view of the vehicles display screen. I had to make a few modifications but was only able to use the 2 left most screw holes to mount my phone.

Perfect fit for 2021 Escape

Great solution for mounting a phone in 2021 Escape. Arrived on schedule at a fair price. Securely attaches to center infotainment display tab. Results in a nice location for phone between steering wheel and center display. Although I purchased the optional magnetic mount and it worked fine, I ended up using a stick-on phone mounting magnet, which I had in my collection, applied directly to the base. This placed the phone more on plane with the display, a little further back from the wiper stalk, just a personal preference. I'll add the optional swivel magnet mount to my collection, for future use somewhere, I'm sure.

A great mount!

I've been searching for 2 years to find a way to mounts phones (yes, 2) where they are handy and visible. The left side "mostly works" for my Samsung S22 Ultra with case. The wiper arm doesn't touch but comes very close and forces me to mount more to the right which blocks some of the Sync Screen. I wish there was a phone mount on the right side as well. SO... I've ordered the mounting extension plates to slightly raise the left side and add a second mount to the right.

A-Tach Team note regarding the pre-drilled device holder holes.

There are pre-drilled device holder in our A-Tach mounts, however, the pre-drilled holes are not needed to attach a device holder onto the face plate of the mount. The holes are marker holes to help with aligning the device holder on the face plate of the mount. Metal screws are typically used to attach a device holder to the mount and do not need pre-drilled holes. Metal screws will self tap and thread into the ABS plastic face plate without the pre-drilled holes. We hope this information helps. The A-Tach Team
